Mid to High Fire White Stoneware clay at 1222 to 1350 °C. Easy to shape and easy to wedge. No grog and ideal for throwing small to large pieces, slab rolling or even hand building.
This is created by combining carefully selected clays with high alumina content to achieve high plasticity and more whiteness, with the addition of fire-clay for enhanced strength. Also, this clay contains no grog and it possesses the necessary durability for shaping large pieces, using slab rolling or hand building techniques.
Similar to porcelain, it may experience some shrinkage when attaching handles or joining pieces. Notably, this clay body exhibits exceptional beauty when subjected to wood firings. The moist formula of this clay is marked with an AP (Approved Product) seal. It can be fired within the temperature range of Cone 6-10, yielding optimal results at Cone 10.
